Privacy policy

This website uses Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics to count visits, and nothing for ads. The self-hosted software keeps your data on your own machine.

Effective October 24, 2026

What this covers

This policy covers the AgentMargin website: the homepage, the docs pages and the blog. The AgentMargin software is something you run yourself, and the section on it below explains what it does with data.

What the website collects

  • Google Analytics 4. It counts page views and shows how people find the site. Its cookies (_ga and _ga_<id>) are the only cookies the site sets.
  • Vercel Web Analytics. It counts page views without cookies. It runs for every visitor, because it stores nothing on your device.
  • Your choice in Europe. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies stay off until you choose Allow on the banner. You can change your answer any time from Cookies in the footer.
  • No ads. Ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are switched off, and the site runs no advertising or session-recording scripts.
  • Two analytics providers. The Google Analytics script loads from googletagmanager.com and sends its data to Google. The Vercel script loads from this site and sends its data to Vercel, which also hosts the site. Fonts and images are served from this site.
  • No accounts or forms. There's nothing to sign up for, and the site doesn't ask for personal information.
  • Copy buttons stay local. Copying a command writes to your clipboard and sends nothing anywhere.

Google Analytics

Analytics records the pages you view, the site that sent you, your browser, device and screen size, and an approximate location (country and city) that Google derives from your IP address. Google says Analytics 4 doesn't log or store IP addresses. Event data is kept for two months. Google processes it under the Google privacy policy.

Vercel Web Analytics

Vercel Web Analytics records the page you view, the site that sent you, your browser, operating system, device type and an approximate location (country, region and city). It sets no cookies. Instead of an ID, it tells visits apart with a hash of the request, and discards that visitor session after 24 hours, so it can't follow you from site to site. Vercel processes it under the Vercel privacy policy.

Server logs

Like any website, the server and hosting provider that deliver these pages process standard request data such as your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time. That data is used to serve the site and keep it secure, not to build a profile of you.

Many links lead to the AgentMargin repository on GitHub, including the bug report and feedback forms. Anything you do there, such as starring the repo or opening an issue, is handled by GitHub under GitHub's own privacy statement. Issues are public, so don't include personal or customer data in them.

The AgentMargin software

  • AgentMargin is self-hosted. Usage, revenue and customer identifiers you send it are stored in your own PostgreSQL database. The maintainers don't receive them.
  • The local demo makes no external telemetry or OpenAI calls.
  • The OpenAI helpers send usage metadata (customer ID, response ID, model, timestamp and token counts) to your AgentMargin API. Prompts and generated text aren't included.
  • The dashboard doesn't save your API key in browser storage.
